Black Elephant Vintners is an independent wine producer that strives to demystify wines to all enthusiasts and offer wine experiences without the pomp and ceremony commonly associated with the industry. To this end, we introduce fun into serious winemaking whilst capturing the taste and terroir of the Franschhoek valley in our wines.

Our diverse brand portfolio enables us to provide a range of wines with unique physical characteristics that appeal to different desires, tastes and occasions. It is our firm intent to ensure that our wines and brands are exciting, premium and distinctive at all times.

Following our Rebels of the Vine mantra, you can expect that when it comes to experiences and tastings, we have got you covered.

Traditional wine and cheese/food pairings are not what you will find at Black Elephant Vintners. Instead, we offer a variety of options. From our dexterously composed Music and Wine pairing, straight forward W.T.F simple tastings to our discounted sales Walk-in-Wednesday. This novel approach to enhance the experience of the wine tasting process by utilising not only the senses of taste, touch, smell, and sight is what distinguishes Black Elephant Vintners from the others.

We currently offer 4 types of Experiences to suit your various needs..

1. Music and Wine pairing – Our premier offering is the on Saturdays at 11am. This needs a minimum group of 5 people and booking is required. Smaller groups are welcome to contact us directly and we will put you on the waiting list until we have a total of 5 people.
2. W.T.F. – Wine Tasting Fun are on Wednesday and Friday between 11am and 3pm. These are more informal simple tastings. Booking are every hour on the hour for a maximum of 8 people at a time.
3. Drive-Buy Wednesday – are purely for Takeaway sales to locals and people visiting Franschhoek. All Takeaway sales are at a 15% discount. This is between 11am – 3pm every Wednesday, excluding Public holidays. Bookings are not available.
4. Events – as members of the Franschhoek Vignerons, we participate in a number of events hosted by them during the year as well as occasional events hosted exclusively by us on the farm. Signup to our newsletter or follow us on Social Media to be kept up to date.
