EARS Donkey Sanctuary Greyton is home to 22 permanent donkey residents and a fluid number of horses under temporary medical care. The sanctuary is managed by Penny James, who has many years’ experience with horses, supported by a handful of volunteers.
We also have a shop in the centre of Greyton where we sell gently worn items, the proceeds of which are ploughed back into the sanctuary. As a registered NPO we rely heavily on donations to continue our rescue and rehabilitation work.
EARS Donkey Sanctuary welcomes visitors of all ages. There is no entry fee though donations are always welcomed. Visits by appointment only. You will be taken on a tour of the Sanctuary to meet all of our donkeys and hear their stories. Wear comfortable walking shoes and a hat/sunscreen.
